Experience:

Abdelbaki has research experience in evaluating the performance, operation, and management of irrigation and drainage systems on large scale as well as on-farm level. He works on observing and simulating water, solute and heat movement in soil as well as water uptake by plants. He uses physical numerical simulation modelling to quantify the plant responses to abiotic stresses (drought and salinity). He as well developed and tested numerical simulation schemes combined with quantitative weather forecasts and volumetric water pricing to optimize irrigated amounts and maximize farmers' net incomes.
